I have leafed through and opened many books without finding traces of pencil or writing; pages are in good, solid, and complete condition. Some books have been read, especially the older ones, and may show reading creases on the spine and light signs of use on the exterior or yellowing with time; others appear almost new and still others are in excellent condition.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ABOUT THE SERIES
The Adelphi Scientific Library is one of the most fascinating, prestigious, and recognizable editorial series in Italy in the field of high-level scientific divulgation.
Born in the mid-1980s (the debut itself dates back to 1985 with historical volumes such as Bateson’s Towards an Ecology of Mind or Hofstadter and Dennett’s The Mind's I), the series has redefine how science is told outside narrow academic circuits.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is not just a collection of science books, but an ideal library that maps the great questions humans have asked about the nature of the universe, consciousness, and life.
The selected books are not simple technical manuals, but works that explore the great frontiers of knowledge — from quantum physics to neuroscience, from evolutionary biology to mathematics and the philosophy of mind. The aim is to show how science is an integral part of human culture, capable of dialoguing with philosophy, art, and psychology.
