Half-length male portrait depicting a young noble, presented frontally with a serene and restrained demeanour. The subject wears formal 19th-century attire: dark jacket, white shirt with a high collar and an ornate cravat, details that reinforce his social status. The treatment of the face is delicate and naturalistic, with particular attention to the flesh tones, rosy cheeks, and the introspective expression of the gaze. The dark, neutral background helps to focus attention on the sitter, following the classical canons of the European bourgeois portrait of the era. The work shows a patina appropriate to its age, with visible craquelure typical of the technique and the passage of time.

Oval frame of the period, made of carved and gilded wood. It features a decorative upper element with a carved bow and soft moldings, of clear classical inspiration, harmonizing with the portrait’s elegant and sober character. The gilding shows wear and natural patina, consistent with its age.

The frame is included as a gift. It may incur damages during transport although proper packaging is provided.
