This watch is presented in excellent vintage condition. The dial and hands are exceptionally well preserved, showing virtually no signs of degradation, which is a significant factor in the value of this piece. The gold-plated case exhibits normal and honest vintage wear, including light handling marks and minor wear to the gold plating at the edges, but it retains its structural integrity and visual appeal. The case back and movement are clean and well cared for.

The 37mm gold-plated case features a classic mid-century profile with thick cabochons and faceted edges, and a clean, unadorned bezel. The gold plating displays honest vintage character, with light surface scratches and minor wear on the sharpest edges of the cabochons and near the recessed crown at four o'clock, entirely consistent with normal and careful wear over the decades. The case lines remain well-defined, and the overall gold tone is rich and visually striking. A dedicated quick-set pusher for the date is precisely positioned at three o'clock. The watch features a domed acrylic crystal that presents a clear, unobstructed view of the magnificent dial beneath.

Powered by the Seiko Calibre 7606A, a 23-jewel self-winding automatic movement. A visual inspection of the movement reveals a clean and well-maintained architecture, with the rotor clearly marked with the Seiko Sportsmatic signature in red lettering. It performs well within expected vintage tolerances, running strongly and consistently. Chronocomparator readings show a deviation of -31 to -35 seconds per day. The movement retains the authentic mechanical character of the period and operates smoothly.
