The Rare (14,177 copies) 2099 Manifest Destiny:
Manifest Destiny is a special comic book (one-shot) published by Marvel Comics in March 1998, conceived as the final act and official conclusion of the original Marvel 2099 editorial line. This issue was created to provide a definitive conclusion and a sense of closure to all the plots and to the various titles of the 1990s Marvel 2099 science-fiction line, which had previously been cancelled or reduced.
The 2099: Manifest Destiny #1 volume, published by Marvel Comics in March 1998, had an estimated print run of 14,177 copies originally ordered by retailers.
Because of this low print run and important historical events inside — such as the very first Moon Knight 2099 appearance and the origins of the Fantastic Four 2099 — the issue is today considered a highly sought-after collectible.
