Discovering art at the age of thirteen, self-taught, almost by chance, was a unique, exciting experience.
Even today, sixty years later, I relive it as I did then.
From the start, I instinctively nurtured a genuine passion for drawing and painting.
Over the years, I later appreciated figurative art and a measured tendency toward abstraction, admiring the work of the “Greats” and constantly emphasizing the chromatic aspect as the protagonist.
Then, as dictated by the natural evolution of the intimate artistic pursuit, interest shifts toward new influences, new techniques.
The personal contribution transforms, becoming more intimate and reworked, at times positively influenced also by the primordial sign-making expressions of the human being.
The through-line of the journey, even amid the succession of apparent stylistic changes, never manages to surrender the impulsive, spontaneous interpretation of the color of life...
