Studio Delu. (1976) - Gaston Lagaffe – Kart de bureau

Studio Delu. (1976) – Collection: Le Chaos Organisé – Gaston Lagaffe – Desk Kart

Shadow Frame 27 × 27 cm – Mixed media – Signed artwork

With its Le Chaos Organisé collection, Studio Delu celebrates humor, improbable inventions and the lively situations of comic strips and popular culture.

This creation pays homage to Gaston Lagaffe and his “Desk Kart,” in the humorous universe of André Franquin.

Made from a real page from a Gaston Lagaffe album, this composition features Gaston’s inventions and adventures in the office corridors. A roller skate, a lawn mower engine, and a generous dash of imagination: his mini-go-kart turns daily colleagues into a circuit as unpredictable as it is hilarious.

The composition combines an authentic page from the album with an official collectible figurine portraying Gaston on his desk kart. The various elements are entirely hand-assembled in an elegant black Shadow Frame. The relief figurine extends the printed scene, creating a dialogue between the comic panels and the three-dimensional object.

Each Studio Delu creation is produced individually. The choice of the page, the figurine, and their staging give each work its own character.

At the border between comic art, sculpture and contemporary art, this piece will appeal to Gaston Lagaffe fans, lovers of André Franquin’s universe, and collectors of Comic Art.
