About the wine

The Émile Peynaud Cuvée is produced only in the domaine's greatest vintages from the initial Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1972. Production remains extremely confidential, with about 1,800 bottles according to the estate.

The 2015 vintage comes from a dry winter and spring followed by a particularly hot summer, allowing grapes to reach optimal ripeness. The wine benefits from a classic Médoc-style vinification with long maceration and a 24-month aging in oak barrels.

The tasting typically reveals a deep, structured wine, offering notes of ripe dark berries, cedar, fine spices, and remarkable freshness. Its concentration, balance, and length on the palate confer it with exceptional aging potential.
