Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently resides and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figure and abstraction with a language of its own, where vibrant color, symbolic forms and deep textures speak of identity, memory and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

In Theatre of Shadows, Miguel de Miguel builds a chorus-like scene in which human figures emerge from an intense chromatic universe, suspended between presence and concealment. The faces, deliberately ambiguous, seem like masks that guard secrets, emotions and fragments of a shared identity.
The enveloping red, the luminous yellows and the greens create a visual tension that transforms the composition into a symbolic representation of the human condition. Each figure seems to perform its own role within a common scene, where relationships, silences and contradictions interweave.
The painting offers no answers: it suggests, hints and lets the viewer complete what remains hidden. Light does not dissipate the shadows, but coexists with them, becoming an essential part of the mystery.
