Between prestige watchmaking, contemporary sculpture and decorative art, “Royal Emerald” is a work conceived as a true collectible object. Its deep green, nacreous white and gold universe stages a majestic mechanical seahorse inspired by the gears of haute horlogerie, at the heart of a spectacular and refined composition.

The 40 × 40 cm board, made on Alu-Dibond aluminum, offers a glossy finish that intensifies the emerald hues and golden details. The 32 resin pieces are manufactured, prepared and hand-painted in the artist’s studio. Their twisted, perforated shapes evoke the complex movements of a timekeeping mechanism. The contrast between the green pieces with touches of gold and the champagne-colored metallic pieces gives the whole a luxurious, instantly recognizable presence.

This creation constitutes the number 1 in a series limited to only 30 copies. Each work is accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and bears the handwritten signature of KLEINER Dominique on the back of the board. Far more than a simple chess set, this piece is a contemporary decorative sculpture, ideal for an elegant interior, an office, a library, or a collection dedicated to design and the luxury world.
