Natura Morta con Vaso di Fiori e Tulipani is a 19th‑century oil painting on canvas in the Italian Impressionist style, produced in Italy and sold with an ornate carved and gilded frame; canvas 60 x 74 cm, including frame 97 x 83 cm.
Description from the seller
Elegant and refined oil painting on canvas depicting an exuberant floral composition inside a vase. The work stands out for the strong chiaroscuro contrast between the dark background and the vibrant colors of the flowers, reminiscent of the classical style of Flemish and Italian still lifes. Among the various botanical species depicted are striped tulips, roses, daffodils, and hyacinths, rendered with great care for chromatic details and light reflections.
The work is attributable to the pictorial production of the 19th century, masterfully reviving the classical taste of floral still life. The rendering of details, the application of color on canvas, and the quality of the carved and gilded frame are fully consistent with the achievements of this period.
The work is enclosed within an imposing and sumptuous period frame in carved and gilded wood, finely worked with scroll motifs and acanthus reliefs that further enhance the visual impact of the painting.
The frame visible in the photo is included as a courtesy and does not constitute an integral part of the work. Any damage to the frame will not be grounds for complaint.
