Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Handcrafted eight‑sided Dutch silver lodering box, made in the Netherlands, hallmarked 835 silver with Minerva mark and year 1982, measuring 36×36 mm with a height of 54 mm and weighing 23.2 g, in excellent barely used condition with a detachable eight‑sided lid.
Description from the seller
Handgemaakte achtkantige Hollands zilveren Lodereindoos.
The box is unusually beautiful octagonal in shape and very detailed, handmade.
The box is, around, hand-decorated with a handsome ornament and refined engravings.
Furthermore, the box is equipped with a beautifully worked and perfectly fitting removable (octagonal) lid.
The box is nicely fully Dutch-approved and stamped with Dutch silver marks:
- Hallmark Lion = silver content 835/1000 (2nd grade silver)
- Assurance office hallmark the Minerva head with the letter F = Leeuwarden.
- Year letter x = 1982
- Master mark vdM = From the well-known Frisian silversmith Mr. Van der Meulen Sr.
- He worked as a silversmith in Joure.
It is a sturdy little box, dimensions are 3.6 by 3.6 cm and the height is 5.4 cm and the weight. The weight is 23.2 grams.
The little box has probably seen little or no use, as it, for its age of 44 years, is in exceptionally, sparsely beautiful and pristine condition without dents, scratches or other damages and the lid closes perfectly (perhaps some minimally inconspicuous user wear somewhere).
This rare handmade pristine Hollands silver Lodereindoos is, due to its graceful form and its detailed workmanship, a striking and specially decorative object. The little box has an exceedingly chic appearance and is a jewel to look at. Also nice and very suitable to use.
Well packed and insured ships.
