In perfect condition hand-made Dutch silver Lodereindoos.

Rare octagonal model.

The box is especially beautiful in form and very detailed, hand-made.

The Lodereindoos is fitted with a perfectly closing octagonal hinged lid.
The lid is decorated with a splendid checkered pattern surrounded by four flowers (see photos)

The box is octagonal and around (just like the lid) manually provided with a splendid decor of finely crafted checkered engravings and floral motifs (see photos)

The box is nicely fully Dutch certified and is marked with Dutch silver marks:
Content mark lion = silver content 835/1000 (2nd silver content) in multiple places (see photos)
Guard-office assay mark the Minerva head with the letter F = Leeuwarden.
Year letter Z = 1959
Master mark vdM = From the well-known Frisian silversmith Mr. Van der Meulen Sr.
Was active as silversmith in Joure.

It is a large model Lodereindoos, dimensions are 4.8 by 3.8 cm and the height is 4.8 cm.

The box, with its weight of 29.00 grams for a Lodereindoos, is quite heavy as well.

Probably scarcely used, as the whole is in excellent, rare, beautiful and pristine condition for its age of 67 years, without dents or scratches, and the hinged lid closes perfectly (perhaps some minuscule unobtrusive wear at most?)
