Sculpture, Enzo Traversa – Bassorilievo scultoreo in terracotta su supporto in legno – 1980 - 60 cm - Terracotta, Wood

Extraordinary and expressive terracotta bas-relief sculpture by the artist Enzo Traversa, dated 1980.

The work stands out for an intense and expressionist choral composition: on the left and in the center, dramatic human figures emerge, with outstretched hands and faces marked by deep emotional tension; on the right there are symbolic characters, including a prelate in ecclesiastical robe and helmet/mitre and pastoral staff, flanked by figures in uniform. The terracotta plastical work is rich in details and tactile textures.
