- Use: Decorative
- Condition: Good overall condition, with patina and signs of time coherent with antiquity
- Dimensions: 140 cm (height) × 115 cm (width) × 15 cm (depth, due to the protruding upper pediment); inner glass approximately 70 × 70 cm
Large decorative mirror with important sculptural presence, made of carved wood and gilded with gold leaf, featuring a rich repertoire of scrollwork, volutes, and vegetal motifs typical of the Baroque language. The carving develops in a pierced relief, creating depth and a very characteristic play of light in pieces of this type.
The frame presents a carved upper pediment, slightly cantilevered and tilted forward, designed to accentuate the monumental character of the whole. The gilded surface shows a warm and vibrant glow, reinforcing its function as the focal piece in the room.
By technique, materials and style, this is an antique mirror, made by a carver, corresponding to a transitional moment between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, within a clear artisanal continuity.
