In this lot we are auctioning a final cut of Sericho, a pallasite-type meteorite (iron-nickel metal-rich), found for the first time in Kenya in 2016. This is a meteorite of good size for a specimen collection, in which we can see some olivines on the surface, as well as its interior through the polished area, in which we can see olivines in their spectacular iron-nickel metallic matrix.

"Pallasites" are very scarce meteorites in which olivines are embedded in a metallic matrix. They originate from the mantle of large asteroids, and represent only about 2% of known meteorites.
