Vintage Green Onyx and Silvered Metal Musical Cigarette Carousel – Reuge Carillon "Lara’s Theme / Doctor Zhivago" – Italy, 1960s
The item is carved from precious green mineral onyx with warm natural veining and finely mounted in silvered, chiseled metal.
Mechanism and Operation:
By pressing the button or turning the lid, the outer doors rotate open to reveal the interior compartments lined with luxurious burgundy red velvet. At the same time a fine Swiss-made Reuge high-end musical mechanism is activated, perfectly functional, reproducing the famous melody "Lara’s Theme" from the film Doctor Zhivago.
