Luca Strati was born in Reggio Calabria in 1981 and is a student at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, with a predilection for sculpture. His artistic path began early; the son of the Reggio Calabria painter Mario Strati, he developed a passion for drawing and painting with comic-book and artistic tones from a young age. He attended the International School of Comics in Florence from 1995 to 1997, pursuing classical artistic studies in parallel. He also attended the Accademia Fiorentina di Belle Arti. He works as a freelance illustrator, concept designer, and sculptor. He was the author of several “artworks” for the Italian fanzine dedicated to Iron Maiden. In 2013 he began teaching anatomy and painting techniques at the International Comics School in Jesi, now renamed ACCA ACADEMY. In 2022 the Tarot Steampunk Art Nouveau (editions) by Scarabeo was released; he worked as a concept artist for Kimera Models and as cover artist for Heavy Metal, Dynamite Comics, Zenescope, Bad Bug Media, Mount Olympus Comics, Laguna Studios, Obscure Comics, Space Between Ent. He illustrated 4 card decks, Marvel and DC for Upper Deck Company. The Fine Art giclee prints are produced on German Hetching 310gsm HAHNEMUHLE paper with Epson Sure Color 44” in 12 colors. This combination represents one of the highest levels in general for photographic and art reproduction (Fine Art). Each component of the equation contributes to a final museum-quality result, both visually and tactilely. The German Hetching 310gsm HAHNEMUHLE has museum-grade preservation (ISO 9706): made 100% from α-cellulose, it is completely acid-free and contains a negligible percentage of optical brighteners (OBA). This means it does not yellow and does not deteriorate over time, keeping the print pristine for over 100 years.
