Description from the seller

Rare pair of Zsolnay Pécs Eosin-lidded jugs, attributed to the DeForma Design Group / Judit Turcsányi.

Both jugs share the same characteristic, plastically relief-embossed base on three feet, but differ in the design of the lid knop and in their exceptional Eosin glaze color.

Red / copper-colored vase

Height: approx. 10.5 cm

Diameter: approx. 10 cm

Weight: 261 g

Intensely red-copper, metallic iridescent Eosin glaze

Good condition

Turquoise / blue vase

Height: approx. 10.5 cm

Diameter: approx. 10 cm

Weight: 278 g

Turquoise-blue, metallic iridescent Eosin glaze

At the upper rim there is a fine hairline crack that extends down into the body. The hairline crack is clearly documented in the detail photos.

Both pieces bear on the underside the Zsolnay-Pécs base mark as well as additional incised or handwritten identifiable numbers.

(Only very few comparable examples of this model can be found). The two different color variants are offered together as one lot.

Please note all photos, especially the close-ups of the base marks and the hairline crack. The photos are part of the condition description.
