Description from the seller

# CYMA Cymaflex Vintage – 18K Gold (750) – Caliber 586K – 17 jewels – 1950s – 37.4 mm

**Swiss CYMA Cymaflex watch from the 1950s, with manual winding mechanical movement, caliber 586K with 17 jewels and yellow gold case with an 18-karat contrast (750 thou) on its case back.**

This elegant dress watch represents Swiss watchmaking from the mid-20th century. Its classic design, sober lines and balanced proportions, preserves the aesthetic characteristic of the fifties.

It is especially notable for its diameter of **37.4 mm, excluding the crown**, a generous size for a dress watch of that era and very suitable also for contemporary use.

### Dial and design

Features a champagne-toned dial, with applied gold indices and stylized central hands.

It incorporates a small independent seconds at six o’clock, a configuration characteristic of mid-20th-century classic watchmaking.

The dial shows a patina and small signs of aging typical of its age, which can be seen in the photographs.

### Movement

Equips a Swiss mechanical movement **CYMA caliber 586K**, manually wound, with 17 jewels (*17 Jewels*).

This caliber includes the Cymaflex shock protection system, developed to protect the regulator from impacts and improve the mechanism’s reliability.

The movement presents a well-kept visual appearance, with its original factory inscriptions visible.

**The watch runs very well**, according to checks conducted by its owner. Documentation on the date of its last service or a professional chronometric measurement is not available.

### 18-karat gold case

The case features a yellow gold finish, with a back case whose interior is engraved with the contrast **"18K 0.750"**, corresponding to 18-karat gold.

It also preserves the manufacturer’s CYMA seal, the indication *Swiss Made* and various maker marks and serial numbers.

The back case, removed, has an approximate weight of **5 grams**. The total weight of the complete watch, including the leather strap, is **41 grams**.

The remaining components of the case have not been weighed or analyzed separately to determine their exact gold content.
