Description from the seller
Platinum brooch with saltwater cultured Akoya pearl and diamonds
Special platinum brooch featuring a saltwater cultured Akoya pearl and numerous diamonds, rendered in an elegant, asymmetrical design with floral influences.
Description
The brooch has an elongated, openwork design with flowing lines and decorative, leaf-shaped elements. At the center is a round saltwater cultured Akoya pearl with a white color and a soft, silvery luster.
The pearl is partially enclosed by a curved, diamond-set surround. From the central portion, several graceful, curved elements fan outward, also set with diamonds. Scattered across the design are individually set diamonds reminiscent of flower buds.
The combination of the white pearl, the sparkle of the diamonds, and the platinum gives the brooch a refined appearance. The asymmetrical design with organic shapes is characteristic of jewelry from the mid-20th century.
