Vacansoleil - Lieuwe Westra - 2012 - Cycling jersey

This is an official cycling jersey from the former Dutch WorldTour cycling team Vacansoleil-DCM from the 2012 or 2013 season, made by the Italian brand Santini.

Features of this jersey:
• Team and Sponsors: The jersey carries the team’s distinctive blue-yellow colors. At the top of the chest sits the large logo of co-sponsor DCM (a Belgian company in fertilizers and substrates), combined with the subtler patterns of main sponsor Vacansoleil (vacation parks).
• Signature: This particular piece has an original autograph on the yellow side by Lieuwe Westra, including his usual addition "The Beast".

The jersey belonged to Frisian time-trial specialist Lieuwe Westra (1982–2023). Westra enjoyed the absolute glory days of his career in Vacansoleil-DCM colors. In 2012 and 2013 he became Dutch national time-trial champion for this team. He also rode legendary stages in Paris-Nice during this period (where he finished a narrow second in 2012 behind Bradley Wiggins) and stood out as a loyal and iron-strong helper in the grand tours.
