AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Unique Street Art / Graffiti Painting on Canvas (80x80 cm) – Maastricht Scene (2002)
Description:
For sale: a unique and hand-painted Street Art / Graffiti artwork on canvas from the year 2002. It is a real eye-catcher with a powerful, psychedelic look in the recognizable 'Character' style of the early 2000s.
This is absolutely not a print, but an authentic piece of underground cultural history on a sturdy stretcher frame.
Origins and details:
The back of the painting tells the whole story and features original graffiti tags from the creators:
• Location tag: "BASSIN MAASTRICHT" (referring to the well-known creative hotspot/inner harbor in Maastricht).
• Artist tags: Signed with, among others, "THO HOOGENDOORN 2002" and the tag "4RTZ...".
• Fun detail: At the bottom there is an original parody sticker ("FCP/AMB brings you and others around you serious damage"), a nod to the crews from the Maastricht graffiti scene of the time.
Specifications:
• Size: 80 x 80 cm
• Year: 2002
• Technique: Mixed media / spray paint and acrylic on canvas
• Condition: In good, original condition. The colors are still very vivid.
Ideal for the urban art enthusiast, early Dutch graffiti, or as a bold statement piece.
