An exquisite Chinese monochrome porcelain bottle vase The piece is elegantly potted with a globular body rising to a long, slender tubular neck. It is covered entirely in a vibrant and lustrous turquoise glaze suffused with a fine, even network of microscopic crackles (fish-roe crackle), which exhibits a wonderful depth and reflective quality.
The interior of the rim and the unglazed foot rim reveal a well-fired, clean pale-white body characteristic of the period's fine ceramic production. The glaze features natural, subtle iron-spot inclusions accumulated during the high-temperature firing process, adding authenticity and character to the surface. Complete with a custom-carved dark wood display stand.
Condition:
Very good antique condition. No cracks, hairlines, or restorations. Minor typical firing imperfections and iron spots inherent to the period and manufacturing process. Please refer to the detailed photographs for close-up views of the glaze and base.
