I am Sergio Rivera Martínez, an artist from Madrid. One could say I’ve been painting since I was born.

Art comes into my life naturally; my grandparents and mother were artisans and artists who worked wood, tapestries, ceramics, and of course painting.

All the memories I have are associated with painting… At home, at my grandparents’ house, birthday and Christmas gifts that were paint sets, while I watched my favorite cartoons I painted. I painted so much that when I left the house I did as well, and thus I began to experiment with graffiti in my early adolescence until today, becoming part of the graffiti history book of Majadahonda.

Currently I work on canvases with realism, with meticulous attention to every detail or any expression. I center the motifs of my work mainly on nostalgia, retro, or classical.
