FMR-ART’È spa - Papa Benedetto XVI Papa Benedictus XVI San Paolo San Pablo FMR - 2009

Saint Paul. The General Audience Catecheses are the work of the collection “Bibliotheca Benedictus PP. XVI” and were produced in a special edition with a limited print run of 699 copies.

Six out-of-commerce copies were also produced, marked with the letters A/ES to F/ES, intended for authors and contributors to the edition.
The first copy of the edition is reserved for His Holiness Benedict XVI.

The work comprises an organic collection of the Holy Father Benedict XVI’s catecheses dedicated to the celebration of the figure of Saint Paul in the bimillennium of his birth.
Through a series of luminous and decisive reflections, the Supreme Pontiff returns to us the figure of the great saint, outlining his historical dimension and the supra-temporal reach of the message.
The work is in a bilingual edition, with facing texts in Italian and Spanish.
The printing of the texts was carried out in Milan at the Jacopo Steffenini printing house, son of Giampaolo, on 160-gram pure cotton translucent paper, created especially for this edition and embellished with the papal watermark, manually produced on a loom and fashioned in a round shape with a special exclusive formula by Cartiere d’Arches in France.
The stitching, binding and the natural parchment cover with gold inscriptions on the spine were made by hand at the bookbinding workshop L’Arte del Libro of Bruno Superti in Todi.
The volume is adorned on the front cover with the work Benedetto XVI and on the back cover with the work Studio di facciata, by maestro Giuseppe Ducrot, original bas-relief sculptures in diamond-shaped form.
The work is numbered 344/699
