STUNNING Vintage Rolex "Pyramid" Box Ref. 67.00.3 Wooden Interior / Dark Brown Printed Lid with Outer Green Stripe Box – For Daytona Paul Newman & Vintage Sports – 1960s
Description:
Splendid, exceptional and extremely rare collectible set consisting of the original Rolex box, reference 67.00.3, with a pyramid (trapezoidal) design and its priceless original white anti-counterfeit inner box with the Green Stripe, dating to the 1960s.
This particular lot stands out for belonging to the earliest, pure and highly desirable variant among collectors: the inside of the lid is exposed natural wood (lacking the fabric lining used in later productions) and bears the famous imprint "Création Genève Rolex" debossed in dark brown, a distinctive feature of this very first series.
This set represents the perfect, period-correct and highly valuable accessory to complete the most important and sought-after Rolex vintage chronographs and sports models in the world, including the famous Paul Newman Daytona (ref. 6239, 6241, 6262), Submariners (5512, 5513, 6538) and GMT-Masters (1675).

The wooden structure is perfectly solid, the hinge works magnificently, and the closure is precise as would be expected for the period (not spring-loaded). The green leather exterior has retained excellent sheen. The debossed dark brown inscription under the lid is clear, perfectly intact and fully legible.
