AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

"Weekend à Llandudno" concerns an impressive signed acrylic painting (30 x 30 cm) by the French artist Olivier De Tullasky.

It was made with a mixed technique (acrylic and oil on canvas).

This elegant, impressionistic painting shows a radiant young woman and her loyal dog as they enjoy a refreshing breeze on the deck of a sailboat.

The woman wears a classic, high-neck white dress with refined lace cuffs and a striking, dark hat that accentuates her fashionable style. Her warm smile and sparkling eyes catch the light perfectly. Beside her stands a charming, rough-haired dog with brown-and-white patches, eagerly looking over the railing with his tongue lolling out.

The background consists of a bright blue sky with soft white clouds and the light sails of the boat, contributing to a sense of freedom, adventure and timeless elegance.

Biography

Olivier de Tullasky (born 1970) is a contemporary French artist who lives and works in Paris. He is known for his versatile, colorful and optimistic oeuvre that sits at the crossroads of pop art, urban art and contemporary figurative art.

De Tullasky creates a so-called protean (many-faced) body of work. His technique is complex and layered; he often combines acrylic paint, oil paint, inks, Posca markers and various varnish layers on canvas or panel.

The French painter has in recent years built a recognizable signature through thematic series that are eagerly collected: the Asia series, the Broken Mirrors series, the In the Depths series and the My Dogs series.

His physical paintings are permanently exhibited and sold among others via Galerie d'Art Pézenas (Couleurs Éternité) in southern France. At the end of 2024, his visual universe was highlighted in an exclusive artist portrait in ArtMajeur Magazine, titled "Sensory dive into the universe of Olivier de Tullasky: a vibrant contemporary aesthetic".
