We are offering at auction an original art panel, composed of nine panels of about 47 x 47 cm each. It tells Christmas as seen on old postcards: children with noses pressed to the shop windows, toy shops illuminated and shelves full of wonders. This unique lot from the Deco Italian Design collection is available exclusively on Catawiki.

Each panel is a small scene in itself, like an illustrated story. You can see children in red and green velvet coats delivering letters, admiring shop windows, or dreaming in front of a train. There are toy shops with a "Toy Store" sign, jars of candy, Teddy bears, snowmen, steam locomotives, an era tram, cars and tin airplanes. Two large Nutcrackers guard a window with red velvet curtains, among decorated pines, Christmas stars, and garlands. In the center stands out the panel with the "Merry Christmas" sign, which can become the heart of the composition.

The high-definition digital print on velvet-effect fabric gives warmth to the colors and a soft touch. The tones of red, forest green, and antique gold recreate the nostalgic atmosphere of Victorian Christmas, while every detail remains sharp and rich—from candy jars to the wheels of the trains.
