Description from the seller
Unique and original work painted by hand by Raphaël Monnet
Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes matter, rhythm and movement.
He approaches the canvas as an space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated and confronted with opposing colors. Impacts intersect, certain areas densify while others allow the background to breathe.
His process does not rely on a pre-prepared image, but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until the appearance of a balance between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.
Based in the Léo Varek workshop in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around the projection and superposition of colors. His works possess an immediate presence from a distance and reveal, when approached, a multitude of details, nuances and unexpected encounters between pigments.
Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of projections, the distribution of matter and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.

Format and presentation
The indicated dimensions correspond to the total size of the canvas. A painted peripheral edge is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition.
Some images show the work staged to facilitate its projection into an interior. They are produced with the ArtStage staging software that creates AI mockups. Proportions may vary slightly depending on the scenes. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the real size of the work.
The edges are partially painted and allow for a clean finish after mounting.
Shipping
The work is shipped rolled in a rigid protective packaging, without stretcher or frame.
Slight creases may appear upon receipt. This is perfectly normal for a canvas shipped rolled. These marks naturally disappear when it is put under tension.
For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas stretched on a frame by a local framer.
Shipments are made by express courier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with tracking up to delivery.
Some destinations may incur additional shipping costs beyond my control. In that case, the buyer will be informed before shipping to adjust the costs if necessary. Without approval of these fees, shipment cannot be made.
Additional information
Colors may slightly vary depending on screen settings and shooting conditions.
Frame and stretcher not included.
