Description from the seller
Vintage GIVENCHY necklace in gold-tone alloy with a lucite green jade-effect pendant
The Givenchy brand was born in 1952 from the French designer Hubert de Givenchy. Since a young age, he nurtured a great passion for fashion and beauty and decided to pursue haute couture. His first collection instantly captivated this world, attracting clients like Audrey Hepburn, who became his muse and longtime friend. The Givenchy brand quickly became the favorite among celebrities such as Jacqueline Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, and Grace Kelly. Givenchy was one of the first designers to connect fashion with art, forging creative collaborations with artists like Salvador Dalí and Andy Warhol...
On the back of the pendant there is the signature “GIVENCHY PARIS NEW YORK 1977”, while the clasp bears the two Gs of GIVENCHY.
Color: Gold / Green / Black
Necklace length: about 75 cm
Pendant dimensions: about 4.8 × 5.8 cm
Weight: about 93 g
Good vintage condition, with visible signs of age and prior use. There are evident signs of wear and the gold-tone finish has worn off, especially around the clasp and on some raised parts. The trace chain shows dents, creases, minor separations in some spots, and small protruding or frayed metal ends as pictured, integral to the description.
Nevertheless, it remains a beautiful piece of jewelry still of prestige to wear
