Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) is one of the undisputed masters of Art Nouveau and a fundamental figure in the history of decorative modern art. His immediately recognizable style, characterized by elegant female figures, flowing lines, ornamental halos and rich botanical motifs, has become synonymous with fin-de-siècle Paris and the rise of graphic art as a collected discipline.

Alphonse Mucha was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist who worked mainly in Paris, France.

For financial reasons Mucha began designing posters and eventually established himself as a poster designer known for his pronounced stylized and decorative designs. Mucha made this poster of a woman in an orange adorned outfit for Moët & Chandon, a French house founded in 1743 by Claude Moët.
