Honda CMX 450 C Rebel, 447 cc, first registered in 1986.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Offered without minimum price:

Honda CMX 450 C Rebel from 1986.
Nice custom classic motorcycle, 40 years old.

In the early 80s, the popularity of cruisers surged. Honda responded with the Rebel series: the look and relaxed seating of an American cruiser, combined with Honda’s reliable Japanese engineering. The CMX450C appeared in 1986 as the bigger brother to the Rebel 250, but was produced for only two model years. As a result, the 450 is nowadays far less common.

A beautiful project to restart; it has stood still for several years.
The motorcycle starts with starting spray and a power booster for the battery, see video:

https://youtu.be/9oYtoL8IcPI

Carburetors need cleaning and the battery needs replacement.
The throttle cable is unfortunately broken and must be replaced.
The inside of the tank looks clean, see photo.
A nice base for the handy tinkerer!

Documents and key present.

What’s notable is the choice of a 447cc parallel twin with two carburetors, four valves per cylinder and a six-speed gearbox. Instead of simply cruising at low revs, the Rebel 450 is surprisingly lively and loves to rev. The combination of light weight, low seat height and the distinctive engine gives it a character that is clearly different from many traditional cruisers of that era. It is precisely this combination that over the years has earned the Rebel 450 a loyal group of enthusiasts.

A cool project to breathe new life into! A nice base with plenty of potential to put your own spin on it. Who will give this classic a second life?

The motorcycle has a valid Dutch registration.
If desired, export papers can be arranged €35,-
With these papers you can register it across Europe.
Will be delivered including an invoice listing the technical data.

No reserve price: Will be sold to the highest bid.

The motorcycle can be viewed and collected in Winssen (Gelderland), Netherlands.
We can arrange transport.
Transport possible via a transport company (costs borne by buyer).

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
