This German Art Deco serving tray, dating from 1910–1920, combines porcelain and metal in blue, white and silver.
Description from the seller
An oval serving dish or serving tray in the Art Deco / Jugendstil style, consisting of a ceramic (or porcelain) base and an openwork, gallery-shaped metal frame (usually silver-plated metal or pewter). The design is characterized by a pattern of stylized blue grape clusters and green leaves running around the edge, reminiscent of 1920s Austrian or German (e.g. WMF) ceramic and metalwork. The tray stands on elegant legs and can be used as a table decoration for serving cakes, fruit or drinks.
Marking: A series of numbers (such as a mold number) and letters printed or painted on the center of the back identify the manufacturer. Similar pieces were made by renowned European factories such as Villeroy & Boch, Theodor Paetsch, or the German Max Dannhorn, among others.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
