In auction, a splendid and elegant pair of antique table lamps in a classic/neoclassical style, made in bronze alloy (or gilded brass) finely worked, on shaped bases.
Each of the two lamps features a full-round sculpture depicting a putto / cherub standing atop a column decorated with relief motifs and acanthus leaves. The little cupids support decorative spiral torch elements with an elegant posture, while the rear stem extends upward to host the lamp holder (standard E27 socket).
