MUONIONALUSTA. Summer expedition 2023 Beautiful polished slice!!! - 29.28 g

Excellent slice of fine octahedrite from the Muonialusta meteorite. It was located by me, near the 68° north parallel, at a depth of about 95 cm, during the expedition we carried out in the summer of 2023. The specimen has been thoroughly cleaned and, after a meticulous anti-corrosion treatment, this fine slice has been cut with diamond wire, preserving its original contour. Both surfaces have been polished to better appreciate the various nuances of its wonderful Widmanstätten pattern. It is shipped in a transparent and flexible display box, with certificate of authenticity IMCA 5955.
