Description from the seller

IWC Schaffhausen – KM Observation Watch – Caliber 67 – circa 1942 – in running condition

Historic pocket watch from International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, with a mechanical hand-wound movement, Caliber 67, and small seconds at 6 o’clock.

The bright, cream-colored patinated dial features black Arabic numerals, a minute track around the edge, and the inscription “International Watch Co. Schaffhausen.” Above it is the designation “KM,” as used on observation watches for the German Navy. The blue-tinted hands form a nice contrast to the dial.

The case number 1,075,117 falls within the documented range of a series of IWC observation watches delivered to the Kriegsmarine via Gerl & Schipper in Cologne between July and December 1942.

The dating to 1942 is based on this serial range. An individual archival extract is not on file. A attribution to a specific ship or former owner is not known.

Movement and markings:
Inside there is the IWC hand-wound movement Caliber 67 with fine regulation. It bears the designation “C. 67,” the movement number 1,031,035, and the IWC seal “Probus Scafusia.”
