Basin - Wood, Glass

This Italian washstand from the 1960s presents a classic form executed in solid wood, accompanied by a substantial glass basin. The design reflects a traditional approach to domestic utility furniture, characterised by its warm brown tones and functional silhouette.

Constructed primarily from wood, the stand features a shaped gallery back and a lower shelf with a curved apron, providing both structural stability and visual interest. Two small drawers with turned wooden knobs offer practical storage. The piece is completed by a thick, transparent glass basin that rests securely within the central aperture.

The overall aesthetic is rooted in mid-century Italian craftsmanship, blending rustic charm with practical design. The washstand remains in good condition, retaining its original finish and structural integrity. The wood displays a natural patina consistent with its age and history of use, while the glass basin is fully functional and intact(few small dents on the edge seen on the last picture).

This piece is well-suited for a rustic or vintage-inspired bathroom, or as a distinctive decorative element in a hallway or bedroom. Its combination of natural wood and clear glass allows it to integrate seamlessly into a variety of interior styles.
