This imposing acrylic-on-canvas work exhibits a post-impressionist and Fauvist visual language of great chromatic intensity and energetic brushwork. The scene centers on an elegant woman with intense red curly hair, reclining on a sophisticated green velvet sofa while reading a book, accompanied at her feet by a majestic leopard resting on a warm-toned rug. The bold and expressive use of color—where deep greens, vibrant yellows, purples, and reddish hues contrast—along with the visible texture of the strokes, builds an opulent, intimate, and mysterious atmosphere that intertwines the serenity of reading with the untamed presence of the wild.
