This exceptional original artwork by Jordi Juan Pujol presents a fascinating crossover between two legendary figures of comic art: Disney's Donald Duck and Corto Maltese, the iconic sailor and adventurer created by Italian comic master Hugo Pratt.

In this imaginative tribute, Donald adopts the unmistakable appearance of Corto Maltese, wearing his characteristic naval cap, elegant sailor's uniform, and distinctive red-lined jacket. His intense green eyes and determined expression capture the mysterious, independent spirit of Pratt's legendary adventurer, while preserving Donald's unmistakable personality and expressive charm.

Hand-painted in watercolor and ink, the piece beautifully combines the visual traditions of European graphic novels with the timeless appeal of classic Disney animation. The delicate washes of pale blue and golden yellow evoke a nostalgic maritime atmosphere, while the expressive black outlines and vibrant red accents give the portrait remarkable visual presence. Silhouettes of seabirds flying across the background reinforce the sense of freedom, travel, and adventure associated with Corto Maltese.

The result is a sophisticated and playful homage that celebrates two distinct artistic universes, making this original illustration particularly appealing to collectors of Disney art, European comics, and Hugo Pratt's celebrated legacy.
