Better known to readers under the pseudonym Casty, Andrea began writing and drawing stories of mice and ducks at the age of ten, enriching them with beautiful covers created with his colorful collection of pastels.
Once ready, the comics were "rented" to friends but only for a very short time and for fair compensation, which led him to think that perhaps writing comics could become a profession for his future.
Thus, after earning the diploma of "master of arts," he sent his work to a long list of publishers and soon began to collaborate steadily with Acme of Silver, giving life to a long series of strips of Cattivik and Lupo Alberto with ever-growing success.
The time was ripe to crown the old dream of writing for Topolino, and since 2002 he began to collaborate with the Editorial Staff. His plots are gripping, his unmistakable style.
His Mickey Mouse, a little shy and defenseless, but generous and determined to help those who suffer abuses, reminds of Romano Scarpa, whom Casty freely draws inspiration from.
Andrea was born in Gorizia on April 23, 1967 and has always lived in Gradisca d'Isonzo, among the green of Friuli.
