Sculpture, Due figure in terracotta - 31 cm - Terracotta

Two terracotta figures, depicting a lawyer or a doctor (the books at the base are visible) and an elderly woman weaving wool. The two sculptures wear mid-19th-century attire, and I suppose they may be from the same period; the artist's signature can be inferred from the palette placed at the base of each. The sculptures are perfect in every detail, and have been cleaned of the patina of time by expert restorers who added a small piece to the doctor's hat that was missing; the restoration is invisible as shown in the images. I suppose the sculptures could be from Northern Italy or neighboring countries, but thorough research would correctly identify their provenance. As a collector of similar objects, I guarantee their authenticity and period. To any potential buyer, I advise cleaning the sculptures exclusively with a cloth, since they have been returned to their original state by the restorers.
