This captivating original artwork by veteran Disney artist Tony Fernandez celebrates one of the most iconic images in Mickey Mouse history: the Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Disney’s legendary Fantasia.
Mickey appears in his unmistakable sorcerer hat and robe, seated in a charming contemplative pose with his face resting between his hands. Rather than recreating the action of the famous sequence, the artist captures a quieter and more intimate side of the character, giving this classic Disney image an unusual personality and warmth.
The intense blue background surrounds Mickey with an almost magical glow, while the rich red robe and iconic moon-and-stars hat immediately draw the eye. The strong color contrasts give the composition excellent presence while preserving the charm of traditional Disney illustration.
