This spectacular original artwork by veteran Disney artist Tony Fernandez reimagines Donald and Daisy Duck through one of the great icons of classic monster cinema: Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Donald becomes the legendary lagoon creature, emerging from the water in full amphibious form while carrying Daisy in his arms. The scene brilliantly recreates the dramatic monster-and-heroine imagery of vintage horror cinema, but Donald’s unmistakable expression and Daisy’s attitude transform it into a wonderfully humorous Disney encounter.

Created in acrylic and ink, the generous 50 x 35 cm composition has exceptional visual presence. Deep blacks frame the luminous lagoon like a classic movie poster, while vivid greens, turquoise water and the striking yellow title create a powerful cinematic contrast. Small creatures hidden throughout the scene add playful details to discover on closer inspection.

The hand-painted “CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON” lettering completes the vintage poster aesthetic, making the entire sheet feel like an imaginary Disney horror movie poster rather than a conventional character illustration.
