COPY: Reference work: Vincent van Gogh, pine with figure in the Saint-Paul Hospital garden (1889)
Created in November 1889 during the artist's stay in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the south of France, the painting depicts the garden of the Saint-Paul hospital, characterized by the imposing presence of a pine, lush vegetation and a human figure immersed in the landscape.
The work expresses the power of nature through energetic brushstrokes, intense color contrasts and a form-building typical of Van Gogh's post-impressionist language.
The original painting, executed in oil on canvas and measuring 58 × 45 cm, is housed at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
