LORIN - Daylight edition

Original painting by LORIN, part of ongoing research into the human figure emerging from textural surfaces and color. Lorin's research focuses on the female figure as an emotional and symbolic space, where presence, identity, and perception meet.

"Daylight Edition" evokes the concept of a version of oneself that emerges in the daylight. The term edition, commonly used to distinguish a particular version or interpretation of something, takes on here a meaning tied to identity and the way we choose to present ourselves to the world.
Daylight Edition offers a reflection on authenticity and the different facets of identity. Not all of our versions are born from a desire to change: some emerge simply when the overstructures fade away and we no longer feel the need to appear different.
