Description from the seller
Vintage glass retailer's jar on a metal stand – with decorative silver-colored lid
The charm of an old-fashioned candy shop, captured in glass! This vintage retailer's jar draws attention with its generous, rounded shape, slanted opening, and lovely silver-colored lid. A atmospheric focal point for the kitchen, a shop interior, or a collection of old shop props.
The transparent glass pot rests in a slim metal stand with black protective pads. The airy base lets the round form come into its own and keeps the opening slightly facing forward.
Particularly notable is the lid with its fine surface, smooth edge, and round knob. The contrast between the clear glass and the shiny metal lends this practical storage jar a pronounced decorative look.
Such counter jars are part of the tradition of grocery and candy shops, where products were displayed openly and sold from the jar. This specimen brings that nostalgic shop atmosphere to a contemporary interior.
