LeYack's 2026 limited edition hand-signed giclée print on canvas, He Bought the Flowers Anyway, 60 × 40 cm, edition of 20 numbered, with certificate of authenticity, delivered ready to frame and shipped from France.
Description from the seller
The seaside amusement park is almost closed. The carousel still glows with all its bulbs, its wooden horses stationary. Sitting on the step, a young red-haired man in a brown suit holds a bouquet in his kraft paper. He waits. In the distance, the pier sinks into the night, a large blue car is parked alone.
This is the missed date of The Catcher in the Rye, where the hero ends up right in front of a ride, or that of Sinatra’s songs. She didn’t come, and yet he bought the flowers.
The warm gold of the bulbs and the cold blue of the night tell the story of hope and disappointment on their own.
