Single item comprising 26 original sheets extracted from antiphons dating circa 1600, titled Antifonario, Corale, Canto Gregoriano, Pasqua, Pentagramma, Spartito, incisione bulino, Pace, in Latin, with 52 pages and a good condition, attributed to Monaci Francescani as author/illustrator, in the 1st edition in this format.
Description from the seller
We propose an impressive lot consisting of 26 original sheets - 52 pages - extracted from ancient antifonaria believed to have belonged to an old cathedral.
The works from which these pages are drawn were printed around 1600 and, unfortunately, only a very few sheets could be recovered, as the others were lost and irrecoverable due to a flood.
The pages offered here feature some finely printed colored initial capitals in red ink at the time of printing and a divine initial engraved by burin and richly decorated.
Also present is a very rare page containing the psalms and chants used in wartime to petition Peace during the special votive Mass, also present the votive Mass for the dead, the Mass for all Martyrs and all Saints. Along with countless other votive and special masses.
Dimensions vary: 450 x 300 and 420 x 280 millimeters (note that some margins are missing on some sheets, and there are slight traces of humidity, only on some sheets as shown in the photos that depict all the sheets)
You are invited to view the many photos present which are an integral part of this description.
Worldwide shipping is possible by courier in rigid tubular packaging to preserve the integrity of the precious sheets.
