daveY - LEOPARD - "OBSIDIAN ROAR"

Up for auction is a contemporary artwork of extraordinary visual power, ferocity, and extreme rarity, signed by the artist daveY: piece number 1 of only 5 copies worldwide (1/5) from the Dark Materic & Charcoal Edition.
The work celebrates the primal power and wild nature of the cheetah/leopard, captured in a momentous roar as it erupts with visual violence from a dark, textured background.

The composition reveals the feline with hyper-expressive anatomical details – from opened jaws to sharp teeth and the vertebral structure emerging along the neck – a perfect fusion between spotted skin and a rich background texture reminiscent of glossy tar, matte resin, and oil-painting swipes on canvas.

Visual and Aesthetic Analysis:
Artistic Symbiosis and Concept: The artist daveY explores animal instinct through avant-garde dark monochrome. The contrast between the opacity of shadow fields and the gloss of raised spatulations gives the scene a nearly sculptural, three-dimensional dynamism.

Graphic Effect and Visual Rendition: The ultra-high-definition reproduction of the Giclée print enhances the definition of the fur spots, the ripples of the textured background, and the anatomical realism of the roaring jaws.

Style and Finish: The canvas surface guarantees the maximum rendering of dark tones, the depth of saturated blacks, and the brightness of light spots, with a matte, smooth, even, and durable finish.
