Description from the seller
There are figures that don’t have to be loud to find a place in the heart.
Sometimes a single glance is enough. A quiet moment. An expression full of curiosity, security, and hope. Exactly this feeling is what I wanted to capture with this painting.
This original was created entirely by hand with oil paints on a round slate board. The natural texture of the slate makes every work unique—no board is the same as another. The rough natural material forms an exciting contrast to the soft color gradients and the gentle expression of the figure.
The dark starry sky with its fine specks brings the vivid green and the warm earth tones into especially strong relief. Depending on the light, the slate surface changes its effect and gives the painting its own distinctive depth.
I do not paint prints or digital reproductions. This artwork exists exactly once. Every brushstroke comes from my studio and makes the picture a true one-of-a-kind.
For me, pop culture tells stories that connect people. Some motifs remind us why we fell in love with fantastic worlds as children—and why we still don’t want to let them go today. If this painting evokes exactly that feeling in you, then it has found its place.
